1 July 2008 - 19:49PLR Articles – Fodder for your Blog
Blogging is essentially the online equivilent of chatting on the telephone these days – they allow for two-way communication between the instigator (blogger, or caller) and the recipient (the reader, or “callee”) Private label rights (PLR) content holds a significant value for bloggers who are looking for extra content to publish on their blog or blogs.
PLR content is “reusable”
The great thing about private label rights articles are that they can be used over and over again – they’re not restricted like “usage rights” content where you can’t publish the content in more than one location – and you have the freedom to edit the PLR articles as you see fit, which is another great bonus.
In any case – I was browsing around Goarticles and came across this article on PLR and Blogging – I thought it was a decent read so I decided to share it here:
PLR Articles and Blogs by Dan Farrell
You realize that having a blog adds content to your company’s website, however you aren’t a prolific writer or just don’t have the time to commit to it.There is a way to realize the benefits of a blog without the large time commitment. You can purchase a set (or multiple sets) of Private Label Rights (PLR) articles to utilize as your blog posts. Needless to say you are going to want to find PLR articles that will fit in with your niche and marketing goals but that shouldn’t be hard to do. The topics covered by PLR articles are almost limitless.
Once you have discovered and purchased a set of PLR articles, do not post them right away. The trick of a blog is to create quality content on a fairly regular basis. You will have to decide (based on time and the number of articles you have available) how often each week is regular. You may decide to post three times a week or only once, either is fine as long as you stick with it. Once you have attracted a group of regular readers, they will continue to read your blog as long as there is interesting content to read.
Overall make sure to personalize and change every PLR article before posting it, for several reasons but two main ones. The 1st is to ensure you are posting original content. PLR articles should be be changed and ideally you want your blog to be picked up by the search engines – for this to happen you should change 20-50% of the article to make it new. The other reason to alter the PLR article is to ensure it is blog friendly. Most blog posts are conversational in tone and however not all PLR articles are. This is not hard to do. The research and idea is is presented, all you have to do it put it into different words (or part of it).
However what if you don’t want to use PLR articles?, they are still a convenient way to post on days or weeks when you don’t have as much time or will be away.
